Travelogue: Tokyo, Japan - Day 1

I love ramen so much. It's impossible to put it into words.

Age-manju, fried pastry with fillings!

Found this hidden gem at Asakusa. For dango-lovers, you have to go.

Day 01

Flight was freezing like mad. Reached Narita Terminal 2 at 11am. Collected my wifi router from the post office. Gotta love the efficiency and convenience of them! Rush to catch the shuttle to the hotel at Stop 33. Hotel Nikko Narita has shuttle every 2/3 times each hour. Anyway aside from the not so friendly male receptionist, there was nothing to complain about the room. Very decent size for less than S$90 a night. The bed was perfect! Comforter was amazing too. Slept well!

I digress, anyway took the Keisei Line to Asakusa for a fraction of price compared to the NEX train. Just about 1,300yen one way. Arrived in an hour and went to get changed for Kimono! Seems slightly cooler than my April trip.

The weather was just right. Sunny, clear skies. Gotta say that it's best if you come with someone to do this! Cause you get to snap many photos. I only took a selfie with a Caucasian couple. Compared to like tens of photos in April!

Anyway, Nakamise-dori is filled with people and yummy food. Senso-ji always seems to be filled with people. I was sooooo tempted by food, I only roamed about for an hour. So after I changed, just whack those agemanju and dangos! I love the original agemanju with red bean filling. Damn yums please. Green tea tasted almost the same actually. There's two stores there selling the same thing. The closer one to the Sensoji Temple sells it more expensive at 120yen up with more flavours. While the one nearer to the entrance sells four flavours at just 100yen each.

The street beside the main Nakamise street holds some hidden stores! I found one selling dangos. SO YUMMY! soft and salty. Think I need to go Asakusa again when I head to Tokyo everytime.

Went Shibuya to find food and roamed like 2hrs trying to know what my tummy wants. Anyway just bought PABLO cheesetart! Looks damn good please. Too bad no knife available for me to have it for dinner.

Found a gyoza and ramen store at Nippori for dinner cause I just can't take it. Mad hungry haha. For just 700yen, I had a delicious and fulfilling meal! Went back to hotel and chill while eating edamame.
