Here's a food for thought. "Style for thought" actually.
Would you consider someone having great style by wearing just a one-piece outfit? Does it qualify as being stylish? In my opinion, I really don't see someone donning on a single item (be it a extraordinary looking one) as a stylish person. Style, in my world, is whereby different individual pieces are being put together by one. Thereby giving the "complete outfit" a life of its own.
I've recently read an article about personal style. And it struck me that I myself can't really classify what exactly is my style. There's so many ways to be classified as. There is the feminine lady to the avant grande The article mentioned somewhere along the line that your friends might have said before, "Oh this is so you!" or "This is completely your style la!" (Singlish intended) So what can I say. Most of my friends identify anything studs, spikes, leather as my kind of thing. Yes, no doubt about that. But given the 3 words, studs, spikes, leather, I imagine one as a rock star. A full-on rock star. Which, I am obviously not.
So who am I again? I have no idea, yet. What I know is that whatever I'm wearing on a particular day, it's me. I don't have an identity. I'm a mix cow with many love for fashion. Somedays I'm as plain as a plain jane. Others, I just wanna dress up all the way.
How about you out there?

FROM ELSEWEAR
Lookbook IV by Jonathon Kingsbury
photos from From Elsewear
This is how I feel about these set of photos. It's just crazily cool (fan-girl moment here, pardon me). To me, I really dig those indie/laidback vibes. It's dreamy and surreal at the same time, I just wanna go into the moment.

Thursday Warmth
Ready for Fall?
I'm seriously wearing these Jeffrey Campbell baby till death. I'm just lazy to pull out the rest to wear. These brown pair really just fits to all outfits. An awesome buy.

Is it strange that I find my faded-red mane getting back from brown to reddish-brown? How strange. On that note, I think it's time to go back to redhead again!

Coachella!
Time of the year, Coachella!

I may not be physically there for Coachella but I'm just so stoked that it's here once again. Every single time of the year, pictures from the festival will be spewing all over the internet. Why? I'd like to believe that it's because of the Coachella outfit everyone has on. Apparently all kinds of funky, indie-inspired dressing is seen. From fringe details to flowy lengths, cut-outs to neon brights, cropped tops to cowboy boots, flora crowns to hot pants. Oh and one thing, shades. These are everywhere and everyone looks better in shades. No?
Happy Monday!
Here's some visuals to get through the Monday everyone seems to hate.
I'm loving the details and the pop of colours from these images

Of these, the paisley hoodie and the leather-floral panel outerwear are my favourite. Also, notice that armswag might not necessary mean over-the-top armcandies? There's something really interesting when it's a riot of varieties.

I've finally more or less recovered from my flu and tryna get back on track with running! Hence the decision to gym on last Thursday. Well, almost died but I kid. The after-feeling of running is just so damn good. Feeling the muscles on the leg and the lost of some weight is a sure motivation.
So here I am, post-run, about to head to town for some dim sum. Tim Ho Wan was just too cray cray with the long snaking queue. So we went to Victor's Kitchen instead. Check out the carrot cake, chee cheong fun, har gow etc. Not bad I'll say!
Hungry yet?
Okay, till next time.
Here's a song that I'm lovin' at this moment.
Goodnight x

Brunch @ Basilico
stripes and lace dress, black spikes sling, leather jacket.
Weather outside is way too hot to put on my outerwear. The dress is perfect for this humid weather with keyhole cut-out at the back and lace panels at the side.

Lunch was at Basilico at Regent Hotel. Pretty decent italian buffet cuisine. I love the cheese and ham bar and definitely the gelato counter! You can spam lots of nuts (if you're crazy over 'em like me) or have fudge and whatnots.
I miss this already.

Hong Kong Photo Diary |
I had a great time, if not a tad too short, in Hong Kong. Loving the hustle and bustle of the streets as well as the many neon signboards hanging above everywhere we go. The weather was perfect there, with a maximum of 26 degrees. But otherwise, it usually feels below 23 degrees! How great it was to walk in the streets feeling as though the whole country is air conditioned. *laughs
Also, I'm terribly addicted to froyo now. I had "Hey yo" frozen yogurt with mochi bits and granola daily there. Now that I'm back, I'm having froyo in jumbo cups.
I confess, I'm head over heels for them.
*own notes. changed about 600sgd for HK.
