Phuket Tales; Day 1

Thoughts

It's Day 3 in Phuket, Thailand.

I thought I should pen, in this case type, my thoughts down since most of the time I'll forget most that happened.

I had an amazing time at the Similan Islands yesterday! The ardurous journey there took us 2hrs by land and 1.5hrs by speedboat just for one way. A crazy journey but one which I do not mind. I think it's my best snorkeling experience yet. Swimming far out to chase after the sea turtle was mighty fun. Getting so close to it, I fear that it would bite me. Really irrational fear. But that's how close I was to it!

I enjoyed the gradient sea by the beach. Gorgeous and full of freedom. I climbed the nature track all the way up to the Similan Island too. It's something I would not usually do. Because I'm not the forest adventurer. But oh hell, I made it. And it is quite liberating climbing up tree roots, over rocks, between rocks and all. It's almost like a thrill ride. One slip and you can be tumbling down. But, I survived! Just like the others.

Similan Island No. 7 has the best views so far! It wins hands down. It's so called the sea turtle point, if I remember correctly it should be No. 7. I saw schools of fishes, nemo! (finally) and a lot of other marine fishes. I could just swim hours in there. It definitely makes me wanna take up my scuba diving license.

Gopro Hero3+ has served me well. Well worth the hundreds bucks. Yes it's tiring taking photos of everything, but at the end of the day, photos reminds you of what wonderful memories you had.

Day 1

Siblings trip!
Bought SIM card, 7 days unlimited data (250baht) from airport.
Opt for minibus transport to Junceylon, Patong (180baht) compared to the taxi ride that cost at least 800 baht. I think that's a rip off anyway.
Patong to Kata area (450baht)
Checked in to our hotel!
Damn surprised/shocked at the size of our sea-view suite.
1 kitchenette, 2 toilets, 1 shower, 1 jacuzzi tub, 2 sinks, 2 balconies conjoined, 1 queen bed, 1 singles bed, 1 living hall.
Tell me about THAT.
Random dinner. Food here is reasonably priced!
Food-wise, about 100baht-350baht for each dishes at thai restaurant and western restaurants. There isn't much price difference.

This Valentines.

Timeline: 3.0

It was a good Valentine's Day with the boy. I spent about 2-3hours in the middle of the night making the card. Sometimes I'm scare to lose the romanticism of what I used to be. Through time and experiences, people tend to change. But turns out, actually I'm still feeling it. Oh yes, and I surprised him with the gorgeous Navy Blue 574 New Balance. I love shoes and I guess I love buying shoes for people too. It's not really a surprise surprise because the always-forever-curious him spotted the shoebox at my house and I had to fend him off. Anyway, it's good to be giving to the boys once in a while during Valentines. Not always, but once in a blue moon you get what I mean. Call my traditional, but I still like being the girl that receives. Nonetheless, I'm extremely pleased how the day went(:

Took plenty of polaroids, received the heart-shaped card, had dinner at one of my favourite place (I just love the food there! I'm boring like that) and watched the Lego movie.

Thanks for the lovely day! X

Busy Day!

Hello there!

I miss this space and always feel so guilty whenever I neglect it for long. I'm the master of procrastination. *evil grin*
Well! Last Thursday saw me attending my language class followed by a shoot and then dinner with my girls. A busy, well spent day!

Dim Sum Mania

Lunch out at Tim Ho Wan because I was craving for dim sum so badly. My favourites have changed! I no longer fancy their famous Baked Pork Buns and Steamed Prawn Dumplings/Har Gow. Instead, I love the Spinach Dumplings with Shrimps and their Congee! So good! We ordered like 11 dishes just for 2 of us. Damn epic and we managed to clear all. Each dim sum cost between $3.80 - $6, pretty affordable. But if you eat like I do, be prepared to fork out $30/pax.

Oh and I happen to meet my friend, Marqkyo, there. So nice to see her! You know the feeling of meeting someone you like even though you haven't seen each other for the longest time and had barely know each other previously but you just think he/she is an incredible person? Yupp, that's the feeling.

Here's What I Wore Today.

I simply adore tie-arounds. A no-brainer element to add to the outfit.
On this note, can't wait to start lessons tomorrow!

Have a good day everyone!

Happy Lunar New Year!

_

This year, our family isn't suppose to do any visitings for Chinese New Year hence the very lack of photos. But still, I managed to catch up with some friends and had quality time with love ones.

May all be blessed with good luck

Wind.

With our little red dot's weather being like this, it's mandatory to put on as many layers as possible (thin layers included). Anyway! This was last Saturday with my bbg catching the movie,"Frozen". It's such an amazing show! Hilarious and heart-warming much. Disney never fails to impress with their animation. Yeah I know it's a cartoon, but it's THAT good. Go catch it!

Loving my duo-tone Superga.
