Travelogue: Boracay!

Visual Diary
In the sea, In the sea again.

After many thoughts about heading to Boracay, it finally came true when I won a pair of tickets to there! Received the good news via email when I was in Florence, Italy. Amazing much?! I had to like slap myself back into reality.

So anyway thanks to SilkAir, we paid only $140 each for taxes (free but not free, sigh) But hey that's okay! I take it as scoring a damn cheap ticket.

fun at ariel's point!

We stayed at Astoria Boracay, Station 1. Station 1 has the best beach! You can check out the photos here later. Station 2, party scene. And, I didn't make it to Station 3. HAH.

Landed at the airport and bought our sim cards right at the exit of it. By the way, the wifi signal isn't that fabulous all the time. And then we got tickets for our minibus and ferry to Boracay Island! Took us like over 2hrs to get there.

Night falls pretty early over at that beautiful island, around 5-6pm!

Next day and off we go to find out tour operator! First things first, there's activites booth right outside our hotel. So that was easy. And we managed to cut the prices by half. Usually they overquote you. Whatever they quote, you can bargain to half the price. Just research online for the baseline range. Or if you want I can send you my itinerary with includes prices of activities!

We did cliff diving, parasailing, snorkeling, cliff diving, kayaking, fly fish, paraw sailing, ATV and Zorb. Missed the stand up paddle boat and mermaid course! The latter sounds interesting right, you can go search online for it. There's a school that does that.

Food wise, I don't like the local fare. Their western food, best! Pretty affordable and yummy! Love pizza nights and snack time for the bars. Hardly any shopping, massage parlour seems dodgy so we did once only, convenience store fairly decent.

All in all, I love the vibes of it though! Can't wait to go back again.
Now, time for more visual marathon.
